Dear Geoscientific community,
We are pleased to announce that after a two-year hiatus, the XII South American Symposium on Isotope Geology (SSAGI) will be held from Sunday 3rd through Wednesday 6th of July 2022 in Santiago de Chile, Chile.
The XII SSAGI will be held in a hybrid format allowing both the attendance of onsite participants and the participation of remote participants through the online platform.
The venue of the XII SSAGI is the Campus Rector Ernesto Silva Bafalluy, Universidad del Desarrollo, Las Condes, Santiago, Chile.
The Symposium aims to bring together Earth scientists from different areas to exchange new ideas on the application of isotope geochemistry and geochronology in basic and applied research. The conferences will cover subjects such as crustal and mantle evolution, geochronology of metamorphic and igneous processes, geochronology and isotope geochemistry of ore deposits, low temperature geochronology of geological processes, isotopes applications in paleoclimatology, environmental geochemistry and hydrogeology, and new isotope developments.
The XII SSAGI is organized by the Geological Society of Chile with a local Organizing Committee of geoscientists from different Universities and the National Service of Geology and Mining, SERNAGEOMIN.
