Dr. Martin Reich

Universidad de Chile, Chile.

Tracking critical element enrichment in the Earth’s surface using stable isotopes and cosmogenic radionuclides

Martin Reich is Professor of Geology at the University of Chile in Santiago. He holds a B.Sc. from the University of Concepción, Chile (2001) and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor (2006). As a geologist specializing in the geochemistry of mineral deposits, Martin has led applications of trace element geochemistry and stable, radiogenic, and cosmogenic isotopes to bring new insights into magmatic, hydrothermal and supergene ore-forming processes. He is a Lindgren Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG) and serves as Associate Editor for Economic Geology and Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta.
