We are pleased to announce that the XII South American Symposium on Isotope Geology (SSAGI) will be held postponed. The symposium aims to bring together Earth scientists from different areas in order to exchange new ideas on the application of isotope geochemistry and geochronology in basic and applied research. The conference will cover subjects like crustal and mantle evolution, geochronology of metamorphic and igneous processes, geochronology and isotope geochemistry of ore deposits, low temperature geochronology of geological processes, isotopes applications in paleoclimatology, environmental geochemistry and hydrogeology, and new isotope developments.

This international conference, held every two years, has previously taken place in various cities around South America and Mexico. In 2020, it will be carried in the coastal city of Viña del Mar in central Chile, 120 km to the northwest of the capital, Santiago. It is being organized by the Geological Society of Chile with a local Organizing Committee of geoscientists from different universities and the Servicio Nacional de Geología y Minería.
